Background
As the best loved, most trusted name in toys, Fisher-Price have been helping to make childhood special for generations of kids. After successfully designing, building and maintaining the client’s main website (www.playlaughgrow.com) Ripe were approached to provide an exhibition solution for the upcoming Baby Shows events, to be held in London, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Brief
As lead exhibitor at The Baby Shows, Fisher-Price needed to have a stand that cemented their market position as category leaders, displayed key products and provided stand visitors the chance to interact with the products and staff. The stand was also required to reinforce brand and sub-brand values and maximise revenue from show sales to ideally make the exhibition stand self-financing. The space occupied by Fisher-Price was 240 sq m making them among the largest exhibitors at the event.
Solution
Ripe researched and assessed the different visitor numbers and stand locations before planning an effective traffic flow for each event.. Product and sub-brand promotions and demonstrations were included to attract visitors and encourage interaction with key products. Off stand promotions were also utilised to direct additional traffic to the stand. Product placement and positioning was thoroughly planned and implemented to ensure maximum sales were gained.
Result
The stand was a huge success and remains the main attraction at The Baby Show. Sales have increased year on year through further evaluation and improvements making the event profit making. The brand, sub-brand values and key information are communicated clearly and have real stand out amongst competitors at the event. As a result, Ripe have now designed and produced Fisher-Price’s exhibition stands for over 5 years and are currently planning the design of a brand new stand concept.
