Corporate & social responsibility

Everyone at Ripe knows the importance of operating responsibly. Whether through our charity work with local and worldwide organisations or our day-to-day operations, we look at every aspect of our business and how it impacts on society and the world around us.

Our Environment

At the very top of our agenda is compliance with all relevant environmental legislation. We also ensure minimal impact on our environment by:

  • ensuring all our waste is managed in the best way by disposing of it safely and being recycled wherever possible
  • minimising emissions to the atmosphere and using the least carbon intensive methods of transport wherever possible
  • managing the impacts of our supply chain by working with suppliers with the highest environmental standards wherever feasible and, with particular regard to printers, looking to partner businesses that not only use FSC certified stock but that are also ISO14001 and FSC accredited.

Education

As well as striving hard to provide as many robust work placements as possible for students interested in all aspects of careers related to design and marketing, we are always looking at ways to form stronger links with local educational establishments. This is viewed as an extremely important role for Ripe as it will help to serve the industry and indeed the companies within it in time to come.

Charity

From living to working, from playing to caring, brands are created with people in mind. And whilst Ripe's aim is to provide world-class design and marketing for our clients, people are very much our main priority.

That is why Ripe puts its heart and soul into helping community-focused projects as diverse as Nazareth House, St. George's Crypt and Lionheart, and as far afield as London, Leeds and Cape Town.

In addition, Ripe are proud to be benefactors to the Nelson Mandela Foundation as well as numerous other community foundations based in the UK.

The Team

Our people are our greatest asset - they are our business and it is their commitment, respect, knowledge, attitude and creativity that makes the real difference for our clients. That is why we go to great lengths to provide a nurturing, inspiring and supportive culture. Regular company-wide meetings are held to discuss work-planning, direction and performance, whilst objectives are discussed openly and frequently with all staff. In addition, a large proportion of Ripe's annual budget is set aside to meet the training needs and requests of staff.

Clients

We work in partnership with our clients to ensure that their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is reflected in the work that we produce together.
